Laurie Chappell is the Senior Director of Civil Space and Space Infrastructure at Maxar Technologies in Palo Alto, CA. In this role, she leads Civil Space business development and creates partnerships to enable long-term growth. Ms. Chappell’s background is in space robotics, having worked on the team that developed the robotic systems for the International Space Station, and more recently, on Maxar’s efforts to create cost-effective commercial space robotic systems for servicing and in-space assembly. Ms. Chappell holds a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Toronto Institute for Aerospace Studies.
